Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Topaz in Blackpool, I was pleasantly surprised by the dining experience available to guests. The hotel’s proximity to a variety of eateries, including cheeky chains and local cafés, made it convenient for families. Though our stay was devoid of the grandeur one might expect, the offerings at Palma Cafe were satisfying. As a travel writer with a taste for culinary exploration, I was delighted to discover the restaurant's innovative breakfast selections. Each morning from 9 AM, a complimentary full breakfast is served, showcasing local produce with familiar British dishes. It was refreshing to see the care taken in presentation, with meals served on hot plates—definitely a good way to start the day! While my children and I found ourselves enjoying the relaxed ambiance, I did feel a tad disconnected by not being informed that breakfast would be at another B&B, yet the various dining options surrounding the area collectively catered to our needs. Topaz provided not just a comfortable stay, but also an accessible gateway to local delights. I would certainly consider returning for its practicality and engaging atmosphere.
